• SIGGRAPH 2004 papers: Morse Fairing, Textureshop, Painting Detail.
• GPU Algorithms (your graphics card is an underutilized supercomputer, but you need to redesign your algorithms to take advantage of it.)
  • Global Illumination on the GPU: Lessons Learned - NVidia U. Keynote talk slides (in Powerpoint). Also presented at the 2004 3D Festival in Copenhagen.
  • The Ray Engine redesigns the graphics card to trace rays, and describes some of the technology that later enabled NVidia's Gelato GPU accelerated production renderer.
  • Peter-Pike Sloan is coding up our work on Precomputed Radiance Transfer in Microsoft's Direct3D graphics library.
  • GPU algorithms for ray tracing, radiosity (including a fast Jacobi matrix solver), subsurface scattering, surface painting, k-means clustering, L-systems, procedural solid texturing, noise, dense matrix multiplication.
